HOW ONLINE ORDERING WORKS

Beginning in June, our online store on GrownBy will be open for orders from Sunday night to Monday night each week. That's when you'll be able to order our veggies!

On Tuesdays, we harvest, wash and pack your order.

On Wednesdays, your order will be available for pickup at our farm in Catskill from 2pm to 6pm, or at Grazery in New Paltz from 2pm to 6pm.

This ordering system will be available weekly from June through October, 2024.
HOW PAYMENT WORKS
Anyone can order our veggies on GrownBy from June through October and pay with a credit card for your purchase. There are no special steps to take in order to do this.
If you'd like to save some money and help us – your farmers! – by making more of a commitment to purchasing our vegetables, you can buy farm credit from us on GrownBy. Here's how it works:

TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD:

Select the Farm Credit button.

Select the amount of Farm Credit you'd like to purchase. Currently we have two options:
> If you purchase $200 in farm credit, you'll receive a bonus of $20, which will give you a total of $220 in farm credit!
> If you purchase $400 in farm credit, you'll receive a bonus of $50, which will give you a total of $450 in farm credit!
Note that paying by credit card incurs a 3% processing fee. -

Once your payment goes through, we will add your bonus farm credit to your account!

Once your account is made, go to our GrownBy shop and "favorite" our farm.

Once we receive your payment in the mail, we will add your farm credit and bonus. We cannot add your farm credit to your account until you create an account and "favorite" our farm on GrownBy!
Check payments are only accepted for a purchase of farm credit, NOT for purchasing produce.
You'll be able to use your farm credit to purchase our vegetables on GrownBy, and you can ALSO use it to shop in-person with us at Left Bank Ciders on Thursdays and at the Rhinebeck Farmers' Market on Sundays!

We'll be at Left Bank Ciders every Thursday from May through November with a market-style setup of vegetables, flowers and seedlings. We'll also be at the Rhinebeck Farmers' Market every Sunday from May through November. But if you're unable to shop with us in person one week (or EVER), ordering online for Wednesday pickup in Catskill or New Paltz is the right fit for you!
NO NEED TO ORDER EVERY WEEK
You can pop on and order online any week that you'd like to, from June through October. We do not require you to order every week! So if you're going out of town, or simply don't need to get more veggies, no worries – you can come back and order another week.
GROWNBY: OUR ONLINE ORDERING PLATFORM
We use GrownBy, an online market-style platform that was made by farmers, for farmers. It allows us to easily update inventory right on our phones while we are out in the field, and it gives customers a comprehensive platform to purchase our veg! Customers are able to go to the GrownBy website on their favorite browser on a desktop computer, or they can use the handy GrownBy app on a smartphone or tablet! Here's a glimpse of what our online shop looks like during the season on a smartphone/tablet app (to the right) and on a desktop computer (below).

Can I use my farm credit anywhere you sell veggies?
Yes. You can use your farm credit to purchase veggies in-person at our booth at Left Bank Ciders on Thursdays, AND at the Rhinebeck Farmers' Market on Sundays, AND you can use it to order from our online farm shop on GrownBy.
Do I HAVE to buy farm credit in order to purchase your veggies?
No, you do NOT have to buy farm credit in order to shop with us. Here are all of the different forms of payment we accept for our products at each location where we sell:

Can I purchase more farm credit during the season if I use it up?
Yes, you can easily purchase more farm credit from us on GrownBy! Currently we have the following farm credit amounts available: $200 gets you $220 in credit, $400 gets you $450 in credit.
I'm looking at your farm shop on GrownBy but I don't see any produce available. Why?
Our online GrownBy farm shop is open for purchases Sunday night through Monday night only, for pickup on Wednesday, June through October. However, you can purchase farm credit at any time.

Can I check the remaining balance of my farm credit anytime?
Yes, you can check your farm credit balance on GrownBy: simply log in, go to your Account, and click "Farm Credits".
Do I have to use up all of my farm credit before the end of the season?
No, you don't have to use up your farm credit before the end of the farm season; funds will roll over to the following year.
How can I buy farm credit?
You can purchase farm credit by visiting our online shop on GrownBy. The process is pretty intuitive, but if you need help, please click here to follow the steps listed above on this webpage! GrownBy is very farmer-friendly and at checkout they will ask you if you'd like to cover the credit card processing fees for your purchase; of course, we hope you do, as it is difficult for our small family farm to absorb all of these fees ♥
Do I have to purchase farm credit in order to buy from the online store?
No, you can purchase our veggies from the online store using a credit card if you don't have any farm credit. But you get bonus credit if you DO buy farm credit, so it really works in your favor to do so!
Wait, I liked the CSA box! Do you still offer CSA?
We no longer be offer traditional CSA boxes. In general, folks prefer to choose their own produce, and it actually allows us to farm a little smaller and a lot better!
Will I still get an email each week with recipes and storage tips?
A note from Leah, author of our weekly newsletter: Over the years we have gotten very kind feedback from farm members about how much they love our weekly emails. Thank you to everyone who has written to us or told us in person that you enjoy them. I have truly committed to putting time and effort into making them detailed and helpful. However, since we had a baby in 2022, our daily lives have really taken on a more chaotic shape, particularly during the farm season. During the time I have available when I am not on baby duty, I need to focus my efforts away from the computer and 100% on farming to ensure that you guys are getting the absolute best, highest quality, freshest veg possible! Because of this, there will be no long weekly newsletter during the season. For real-time farm updates you can follow us on social media, where we plan to continue posting about what's happening on the farm each week! And hopefully I'll be able to write a few newsletters whenever time allows ♥
If I buy farm credit, do I *have* to buy veggies from you each week? What if I go on vacation?
No, you do not have to buy veggies from us each week – only do so when you need to! It's really flexible.
What kinds of veggies will you have available on the online store?
The great thing about having an online store where customers select their own vegetables is that we can have a much wider variety of produce than is possible with a traditional CSA system. Occasionally we might have a super limited quantity of certain items, but in general we will have many and plenty of items weekly. While we aim to have all kinds of goodies available throughout the whole season, we are bound by our climate and certain items will be available only when they are "in season". In general, the beginning (cooler) part of the year tends to have more green items like salad greens, kales, broccolini, Bok choi, radishes; the midsummer heat lends itself to crops such as tomatoes, watermelons, zucchinis, cucumbers, peppers and early potatoes; and the shift into fall gives us sweet potatoes, leeks, winter squashes, more cool-weather salad greens, broccoli, cauliflower, and more. In the online ordering system, veggies don't go to waste! Whatever isn't ordered can stay in the ground, unharvested until later in the week at our farmers' market booth. This saves you money & us time and effort! It's a win win!
